Established in 1989, the Hand Clinic
is a private, independent, surgical
unit specialising in Hand Surgery.
The clinic was designed as a compact  
day surgery unit including operating
and X-ray facilities, rehabilitation
and consulting rooms. All surgery
is conducted under local or
regional anaesthesia.
There are no inpatient beds.

The proximity of the consulting rooms, operating theatre and pre- and
post-operative facilities permits close coordination between surgeons, therapists and nurses, so that patients receive integrated care.

Rehabilitation following surgery or injury is overseen by our team of specialist, chartered, State Registered Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
A special feature of rehabilitation at the Hand Clinic is the availability of combined appointments. Patients will often be seen by surgeon and therapist in combination.

The Hand Clinic is recognised as a private hospital by all major health insurance providers. As with any form of insurance, there may be restrictions or conditions on your policy. You will need to be referred by your GP, therapist or treating specialist to see one of the surgeons at the Hand Clinic. Before you come, make sure you know what restrictions apply to your policy.
